So what did the new measures after Aug 31st 2010 really do?
Prices for HDB houses have gone up in valuation, and COV has come down. The valuation has gone up to at least $20,000 to $60,000, in a short space of time.According to media, it is said that valuers take into account the present market price. Only last year i tried to test the market price of my 4-room flat in Pasir Ris. It was going for around $320,ooo. Fast forward 1 year later, it’s now around $380,000. So in other words, paper value of house has increased 20%, in just one year.
So what will be the state for 2011? The best time to buy is still NOW!and keep your house as long as you can, unless you are buying private property or downgrading.
